About Us

The Jewish Family Research Association (JFRA ISRAEL) is an independent genealogical association with active branches in Tel Aviv, Ra'anana, Rehovot, Petah Tikva and Herzliya, where we generally have one program a month. Programs are given in English or in Hebrew, depending on the speaker's preference. JFRA holds various seminars and workshops for those new to Jewish genealogy, as well as for more advanced researchers on special topics. Whether you're Sephardic or Ashkenazi, Dutch, Iranian or Polish, we have people with years of experience who will be happy to give you the benefit of their expertise.

JFRA publishes a newsletter called Megillon. The first issue was published in November 2003 which includes original research, personal stories, book reviews and more.

JFRA is a member of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS). For more information, please contact any board member. JFRA is always available to help you in your research.
